Falling for Quality: An Autumn Day with Avian Expert Professor John E Cooper at Haith’s

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Professor John Cooper and his wife, Margaret, at our new premises. It was a day filled with insightful discussions, a tour of our new facilities, and exciting conversations about quality control, healthy diets for birds, Haith's nature education programme, and our future plans.

Quality Control and Healthy Diets

One of the central topics of discussion during our meeting was quality control (QC). Professor John Cooper, an esteemed expert in avian health, highlighted the importance of stringent quality control measures in the production of bird food. He shared his knowledge and experiences in the field, highlighting the critical role that high-quality bird food plays in supporting healthy bird populations.

The conversation naturally shifted towards the importance of providing birds with wholesome diets, where Professor John Cooper stressed the significance of balanced nutrition for avian wellbeing. He emphasised the link between a healthy diet and the vitality of our avian friends, sparking our commitment to continually improving the nutritional content of our products.

A Guided Tour: Our New Premises

Professor John Cooper and Margaret enjoyed an insightful tour of our bird food factory. They witnessed the precision and dedication behind our premium products and the importance of quality control in avian health. It was a valuable firsthand experience, fostering a deeper understanding of our commitment to providing nutritious and clean diets for birds.

Future Endeavours and Collaborations

During their visit, the Coopers were introduced to our Family & Education section, a dedicated web section, added to our website earlier in the year to provide free nature resources to families. The pair received a selection of resources to share with their granddaughter, who has a passion for wildlife. We also delved into our upcoming Clubman project, which includes a personal commitment from Professor John Cooper himself. The project aims to build Haith’s relationship with bird clubs throughout the country, providing them with bulk offers and special prices to support their high-quality bird keeping. We hope to launch this late October.

A Day to Remember

Welcoming Professor John Cooper and Margaret to our meeting was very successful indeed. The professor’s expertise and passion for avian health left an indelible mark on our team. The day was a testament to the importance of quality control in bird food production and the value of providing healthy diets. Margaret Cooper was a vital part of the day, providing the team with invaluable complimentary feedback and offering suggestions regarding support for Haith’s imaginative new conservation ventures.

We are deeply grateful for the visit and look forward to continuing our work with the Coopers to create a world where healthy diets and avian awareness flourish.
