The BTO is a not-for-profit Trust, governed on behalf of members by a Council. The Trust is registered in England & Wales as a charity (no. 216652), in Scotland as a charity (no. SC039193) and as a limited company in England & Wales (no. 357284).

 
Haith’s PRO is a Corporate Member of BIAZA

BIAZA is the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. We are the professional body representing the best zoos and aquariums in Britain and Ireland. We have over 100 zoo and aquarium members who pride themselves on their excellent animal welfare, education and conservation work. BIAZA leads and supports its members and helps promote the work of good zoos and aquariums.

BIAZA has over 100 members who must do more than comply with zoo legislation in Britain and Ireland. Member collections must undertake significant work in the field of animal welfare, conservation, education and research.  Members must follow and comply with the Memorandum and Articles of Association and Codes of Practice of the Association. All members must adhere to the Animal Transaction Policy which ensures that all animal movements conform to the highest ethical and welfare standards.

Haith’s PRO works closely with BIAZA Members to further its studies of avian bird diets. Haith’s bird diets are regularly used by zoos and wildlife parks to further their conservation works and provide high-quality bird diets to rare and endangered species of birds and in many cases releasing them into the wild.

Haith’s seeds are SUPERCLEAN™

Our seeds have the Haith’s PRO SUPERCLEAN accreditation as an expert helps QC our products using external laboratory investigations. The Haith’s PRO QC Team currently undertakes investigations which (to their knowledge) are not currently done by other bird food companies. This has lead to a new standard of clean: SUPERCLEAN™.

The benefits of clean seed are clear: healthy seed, healthy birds. But did you know that dust is harmful to a bird’s respiratory system and extraneous husk may damage delicate tissues and allow entry of pathogens? That’s why we founded the professional division of Haith’s (Haith's PRO).
