Boiled baits and glycerin - Part 2

Boiled baits and glycerin - Part 2

In the past I wrote a short piece on here about using glycerin - aka glycerol - to help preserve a batch of bait with photos showing some treated high attract hookbaits which I glugged in Glycerin on the 20th November 2015.

Well, I just thought you might like to see a picture of the same baits five months later, which proves - as if you would ever doubt me that glycerin does indeed preserve both freebies and hookers for a considerable period of time.

Hook fishing baits
These are the Robin Red and Fishmeal high attract hookbaits in question, which were made on the 18th November 2015 and then glugged in glycerin. They were then allowed to rest until the glycerin had soaked right in and the baits were dry to the touch.

The baits were then stored in a pot and the date potted was written on the lid.

Here are those same baits over five months later, given an extended shelf life thanks to a simple application of good old glycerin.
