Help Our World: Practical Tips for Supporting Wildlife
Share
We were recently contacted by a local primary school in the Grimsby area, they asked us if we could donate some products and recipes to help them understand about helping the wildlife in our world.
The children have been bird watching and studying which birds live in and around our local area.
After studying and researching food they decided to try and make their own food and feeders, a quick internet search lead them to Haith’s and we were very happy to help.
We arranged for Lucy the school teacher to come to visit our shop at Haith’s to collect the items that would help the project.
After two weeks we were delighted to receive an email, photos of the children and results of their achievements.
We would like to share this with you.
The children carried out the research and also designed their own suet feeders, which were sold at the school’s summer fayre to help raise funds.
A very big well done to all the year 2 children involved from all the team at Haith’s, should you choose to have a go at making your own suets with our Birdcake mix, please follow this link. www.haiths.com/birdcake-mixture-how-to-make-bird-food/
