Pinhead Oatmeal for fishing
Great when used as part of a particle blend, but can also be used on its own.
This is also known as Scots Oats and is often associated with porridge. They are great when used as part of a particle blend, but can also be used on their own. They are also quite filling, so take care not to over feed.
Bait making tip:
Prepare by soaking overnight in just enough water to cover the bait – again flavour and sweetener can be used – and then bring to a boil. As soon as the pan has boiled, remove from the heat and allow to cool in the water in which they have been soaked and cooked. As they do so they will absorb much of the liquid.
Where to use them:
They are ideally suited to margin fishing but, if the greater range is required, we recommend you blend in sufficient SuperRed to stiffen the oatmeal so that it can be formed into ground bait balls.
