This popular garden visitor likes to feast on many seed mixes, including black sunflower seeds. They are also very fond of insects too! Garden conifers are their favourite place to nest. The Greenfinch UK is a truly colourful character showing flashes of green and yellow as it flies. They are sociable but also like to squabble among themselves at bird tables.

They like to live in woodland edges, tall hedges, conifer plantations, orchards, churchyards, parks and gardens - anywhere with tall, fairly dense trees and plenty of seeds and insects.
