I have to agree with Katie. Although the sand is nice and clean my latest delivery looks nothing like the picture shown. It is very nearly all very fine sand with just the odd sprinkle of anything else. The birds though still like to peck around in itbut it would be good to get similar to that shown.
Hello Roy, thank you for your review. We will forward this to the relevant department to investigate.
Having always used wood chipping dressing for both the breeding cages and indoor flight my Bengalese finches found they could occupy themselves by pushing the chippings through the wire and it was getting to be a major clean up daily so I tried sand for the floor dressing and found it together with the grit content to be excellent the birds loved it and the bird room floor no longer became a chore cleaning it.
Hi Barry, many thanks for your review. This is great to hear!
I’ve been trying out a few different sands for my aviary. This was my first, it was good but not like the photo, more sand than grit. Easy to clean. I’ve just tried Tarmac play sand from wickes to try and save some money but that’s awful when wet, cement like and smells. Amazon sell a 25kg bag of aviary sand that I would say is as good as this one for £12-£13 so middle ground between them both. I really wanted to continue using this but it’s too expensive, and I’ve just seen the price has gone up whilst the Amazon one has been reduced.
Thank you for your review, so pleased you found a sand that is suitable and we really appreciate your feed back.
The sand has to much grit in it
