A great mix for our welcome visitor's great value
Thank you for the review
After that terrible Climate Change 40deg heat one night, I feared all the birds might have perished. (News items seemed to thnk this could happen). Accordingly I put out some extra Haith's food the next day. It took more than a week before the local birds re-appeared. I could have cried with joy to see tham. Normal service is now resumed, and they are gobbling up their lovely Haiths diets again. So great to have to replenish the feeders even more regularly once more. They must have been delighted to see all that food in their feeders because they are eating more than ever. So pleased I can treat them to their favourite diets again. I know I can trust the fact that I am giving them the best!
Hello Mina, thank you for the review. It's great to hear that your birds are doing well after the extreme heat over the last month and are feeding well. We're sure that they will appreciate their Huskfree Advance with Dried Mealworms.
This is a great product! We have experienced an amazing increase in House Sparrows and Blue Tits in our garden this year! They love this food and it is a delight to Watch Mum take food from the feeder, give it to the Chicks and then watch the ‘ baby ‘ learning how to then obtain the food in the same way!
One tall feeder a day just about does it! Come Winter? Remortgage the house? 😂
Thank you for the lovely review, Richard.
We are passionate about nature here at Haith's and we understand the delight in watching the birds flocking to your feeder and watching the chicks grow. Your feeder is obviously well known among the local birds. As to remortgaging your house, maybe start charging them rent?
I've tried both the Huskfree Advance and the Huskfree Advance with Dried Mealworms
Over the last year or so the amount of dried mealworms seem to be getting less and less.
And while both don't seem to germinate below the feeder - I've found they take longer to disappear from the feeder than the suet pellets I've recently been buying
Hello John, I'm sorry that you don't seem to be getting the dried mealworms in your sack. I can confirm that we have been putting the same amount of dried mealworms in the mix and have not changed the ratio of these over the last few years. Obviously, when it comes to bagging up the mix there may be some differences. We do also have a Huskfree advance with suet pellets which you may find more to your bird's taste?
This is quality food although I have had bags that have become very powdery at the end. I do have occasional seedlings sprout from spillage by the birds but the quality of the mix is good. I have a number of species that visit the feeders. I am happy to keep ordering it.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. It's great to hear that your birds love the Huskfree advance with dried mealworm., This is a natural product and therefore the rate at which ingredients break down may differ and this can lead to different levels of residue in the mix.
