I buy this bird food mix every time. The garden birds feed from the feeders three times a day. I have to refill the feeders every morning. I have three x 4 port feeders. The amount of garden birds is noticeably increasing. The pigeons get the same seed in their own area. I get about 30 come to feed, then they fly off until the next day. I didn't realise they have amazing plumage colours. I just LOVE having all these birds in the garden. It's a delight. And it's THE HUSK FREE MIX. Thank you
Hello Kathryn, thank you for your review. It is great that you are noticing an increase in garden birds while feeding the Huskfree Advance Mix. Fantastic news!
20+ House sparrows find this a great feeder-product and starlings too. The steady "fall rate" attracts a range of ground-feeding garden birds, robin, blackbird, dunnock, collared dove etc. and regular jackdaws. One ingredient, a fine round light-coloured seed, is unpopular and almost always left in feeding trays. I do tip it onto a path and something eventually takes it - wagtails perhaps - they do take crumbs. Our resident birds just ain't keen. I wonder what it is? Hope that's helpful. All the best. Roger
Hello Roger, thank you for your email. That is great that you have lots of birds coming into your garden, the light coloured seed is called Pinhead Oatmeal.
A great favourite of the birds, only problem is there is growth from the seeds which end up on the ground. Wouldn’t be a problem if bird feeders were on the lawn but they are in the trees to try and deter the sparrow hawks. The birds here are very messy/fussy eaters which means a lot of seed on the ground, so end up digging up every couple of weeks and throwing on the lawn where the pigeons eat it.
Hello Cheryl, many thanks for your message. We are pleased to hear this mix is a favourite with your garden birds. It is one of our most popular mixes. We do have a range of feeder that has an optional tray to attach to the bottom of the feeder, this may help. The link to the feeder is https://haiths.com/products/ring-pull-seed-feeder?variant=42290119049461 and the link to the tray is https://haiths.com/products/ring-pull-feeder-tray
Sparrows, starlings, jackdaws, rooks all compete in a daily blitzkrieg on a four perch feeder whose contents barely last the day. A most effective food.
Hello David, many thanks for your review. We are pleased to hear that the mix works so well in your garden.
Vanished in no time, not just Robins every other bird.
Hello Jannena, thank you for this review. We are happy to hear the the garden birds are enjoying this mix.
