Collection: Coal Tit Bird Products

This is the smallest tit found in Britain and easily distinguished from other tits with black caps and white cheeks by its conspicuous white nape.

It is usually found in the vicinity of coniferous forest but also in mixed and broadleaved woodland. It is quite common in suburban parks and gardens and can often be seen in the company of other tits foraging through treetops and along hedgerows for insects and spiders.

Like the Blue Tit, it is attracted to peanut feeders and fat balls and other mixtures containing nut granules such as Haith's Golden Chorus as well as Mealworms and Haith's Prosecto Insectivorous and Sunflower Seeds.

Coal Tits will take closed in nest boxes with a 28mm diameter entrance hole but they should be fixed above 3m (10ft.) preferably on a coniferous tree.
